The Immanuel Student Ministry longs for every 5th-12th grader at Immanuel Church to love Jesus Christ and belong to his church for all of their days.

Want to get connected in the student ministry? Reach out to Pastor Vince Greenwald at vince@immanuelnashville.com.

GOSPEL

Our student ministry believes that what students most deeply need is the Gospel, good news for bad people through the finished work of Christ and the endless power of the Holy Spirit. Everything we do is about constant immersion in the Gospel through the Word of God, prayer, and fellowship.

Safety

Every student also needs a place where they can stop trying to be impressive and can start being known. They need a gospel culture, a place where the easy yoke of Jesus is not just preached but felt. No manipulation. No condescension. Respect. Honesty. Gentleness.

Time

Growth in Christ is not a linear, overnight process. We commit to the long haul with students, offering multiple exposures to the Gospel, week after week, year after year, as the Lord works in the hearts of students. No pressure. No deadlines. Patience.

Meet the youth pastor

Vince lives in West Nashville with his wife Caroline and their four little ones, Bear, Lila, Grace, and True. He began leading the student ministry in 2018. He has degrees from Baylor University, Covenant Theological Seminary, and Lipscomb University and was ordained at Immanuel in March 2023. Vince especially loves watching students at Immanuel steep in the good news of Jesus Christ, experience a culture shaped by the gospel, and find a sense of belonging in the Church. He'd love to hop on the phone with you or grab coffee!

what we do

Corporate Sunday Worship

SUNDAYS AT 9AM and 10:45AM in the worship center

The most important weekly rhythm for our students is the main worship service. Youth group eventually ends for all of our students, but corporate worship doesn’t. Please prioritize worshipping together with your 5th-12th Graders regularly.

City Groups

wednesdays at 6:15pm in the gym

On Wednesday nights, our students meet together in small groups at the church to study the Bible in community and pray for one another. Friends are always welcome and participation can start at any point throughout the year!

Sunday Classes

Sundays at 9am in the gym

On Sundays, our students gather together for age-specific, classroom-style Bible teaching taught by student ministry leaders and parents.
